The beginning was slow trying to piece everything together. Really disappointed on how her relationship with Richard ended and shocked at how sickening the end was. Overall good read glad she got some kind of love in the end.

I'm not a big fan or expert of horror but this was really cool! Just the right amount of creepy and tense from the first pages. The only thing I struggled with was (weirdly specifically) the age of the characters. What I mean is that all dialogues sounded very adult, everyone was speaking in the same tone, and then I would remember that one of them was supposed to be thirteen years old. This bit spoiled the immersion at times, but otherwise it was a very entertaining read.

This book is chock-full of disturbed characters. I found it to be a bit too contrived/predictable, and the characters too unlikable to merit any more than 2 stars.
