Find a way to read this. I don't have anything to say beyond — you deserve to read this.

Picked this up by chance looking for another graphic novel and I’m so glad I did.

A bunch of beautifully written and drawn short stories with interwoven themes of grief, loss (of people, time and things) and needing to slow down and appreciate what and who is around you.

I love that even with ultra short stories, I felt for the characters and cried on more than one occasion.

Also I wish there was a sleep app like Sleep Space that worked as well for me as it did for the characters throughout the book.

This will definitely be a book I come back to over and over again when I want to recenter myself or just curl up on the couch with a cozy blanket when I need a break from the world.

Also if you were a Tumblr girlie in the early aughts, you’ll definitely like it.

It was very interesting. Confusing at times, I wish the author had sought stronger editing assistance before putting the final piece out. I think there’s something here beneath the surface of the book but I don’t feel compelled to spend more time with it after my initial reading. It’s pretty, though.

Totally unexpected- loved the first vignette of the wizard walking through the woods and building the baby birds a nest :') All about nature - connection.  Some hauting vignettes, about how modern life makes us so disconnected from REAL life- the trees, the breeze, the birds...

Some of my fav short stories from this was the Station, the largest ball of twine (I didn't get it until the end, and then it hit me like a truck and I teared up), and weeds.
