I absolutely adored book one, 𝑡𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡, and I knew I’d love this just as much. Davis + Dakota were just the SWEETEST, most perfect couple + the way Davis just stepped up for her and was everything she needed was EVERYTHING. The characters are so beautifully written + I loved seeing Charlie, Ruby and the rest of the Montgomery brothers again, as well as witnessing the relationship shift between Dakota + her sister Fallon.

This is definitely darker than the first book (do check cw’s) and between the reason Koty’s on the run + the pregnancy trope (which I didn’t realise till I started reading it, anyone else just blindly buy every book your fave authors write?!) I did find this a difficult read emotionally. Having said that, the storyline was executed beautifully + I still enjoyed it immensely.

This book was the perfect blend of sweet, spicy + suspenseful (the three S’s combo that makes a romance incredible for me!) Ava’s writing style is beautiful + immersive and I think the added suspense in her plots make her books stand out. Plus, that twist at the end (!!!).

Highly recommend picking this up 👏🏽

For someone so anti-violence, I really shocked myself reading Rope the Moon because I honestly wanted a wolf to tear a character to shreds. What a rollercoaster.

Rope the Moon was a love story from the off. It’s always refreshing when two characters know that they are meant to be, and there’s no awkward “will they? won’t they?” situation. You just get to bask in the romance!

I didn’t fall as head over heels into the story as I did with Tame the Heart. I think that there were elements of Davis that we didn’t get to go into enough depth about that left me still slightly wondering about him, and I also felt like the timeline moved quite quickly when I would have liked to have lingered on some moments for a bit longer. The end also felt quite rushed. Overall, however, I continue to be enthralled by Runaway Ranch, Resurrection, and its residents.

I can’t figure out who I want to know more about now: Wyatt or Ford. In the one hand, I need Wyatt and Fallon to have their happy ever after *STAT* because they deserve it but, on the other hand, I need to know more about why Ford is so anti-love and want to see who can get him to change his mind. Either way, I can’t wait to see what happens to the Montgomery’s next! Here’s to a more relaxing couple of years for them…

Plot was better than the last one, the spice rarely drew me in considering how much there was of it. Still like the characters. There’s so much filler and repetition of the exact same sentiments/thoughts. Plot points were obvious but still a fun read.
