I didn’t realize this was a series and I take back my one grievance from The Kind Worth Killing since this sequel deals with its final twist. The solution to the twist is a bit inelegant and it’s clear Swanson didn’t intend for this to be a series, but I am happy he made this decision.

A page turner that was fun and satisfying! Lily is my fav little psycho.

This was a good thriller, though I enjoyed the first in the series much more. I think this one just felt less believable. I liked the idea of Henry as a PI, but then why make the case so connected to his personal life history? It felt unnecessary and took me out of the story a bit to wonder how this normal man knows all these crazy people

Kinda forgot the plot of the first book which I don’t think is too major to the plot of this book. Not so many twists and turns but well thought murders and lies!

Pretty good! I think the pacing of this is better than book 1, but the overall story is a tad weaker.

Looking forward to book 3!
