3.61 AVERAGE

emotional funny lighthearted medium-paced

Really enjoyed the ending. Beginning was kind of slow.

Solid 3 stars. It couldve been more though…

Really a 3.5 but this was a fast, fun read. Good female characters/relationships. I liked the romance well enough (though it's directly following Connell/Marianne and Jamie/Laurie so tough competition). Nothing earth shattering, but will I read the rest of the series? Likely yes.

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I had done a little more research and realized it wasn't a romance but women's fiction. I was surprised by how little romance there actually was and how low intensity the entire book was. It was just unexpected. However, I did eventually enjoy it once I got used to the tone and pacing. I liked our two main characters, enjoyed the friendship dynamics, and thought that Naomi's past was heartbreaking and good for pushing the narrative forward. I'm going to continue on with the series now with more realistic expectations for what it is.

fun and easy read, i loved naomi and oliver
but the miscommunication/lie by omission trope isn’t my favourite and was infuriating at times.
still, i’m a sucker for a childhood enemies to lovers

3.5

I could’ve finished this in half a day if I had more reading time. But this book is perfect. Naomi and Oliver are perfect in an imperfect sense. I was hooked from the very first page.

medium-paced

Trying to explain, without spoiling .. I dislike how the last few chapters went down, the reactions and behavior following events. . Completely ruined it for me
