OMG, this story and the feels that I have! Have you ever loved a book (or book series) so much that you're at a complete loss of words? Well, that's what Claim Me (and the Stark series) does for me. I'm so emotionally invested in these characters and this book/series. I actually haven't been able to stop thinking about this book since I finished it a few days ago. You know it's a good book when it invades you mind like that for days.

Claim Me pick up where Release Me left off (so if you haven't read Release Me yet, you need to). This book has more passion and is more about trust, finding pleasure in pain, and dealing with one another's past. Although, in this book Nikki does worry a little that Damien doesn't need her as much as she needs him. We also find out what Damien's big secret is. If you want to find out what it is you'll just have to read it!

Nikki and Damien have such amazingly hot, chemistry that just comes naturally to them. It doesn't come off or read forced (like some other books) and what I really love about these 2 is that they don't use sex as a tool to either 'get back' at one another or as a way to distract one another from the issues that they are dealing with. In fact, they actually use sex to help deal with the issues and to help overcome their issues. Physically and emotionally.

We also see how amazingly strong Nikki is. She doesn't let one of her best friends bad opinions of Damien sway or cloud her judgement on him. She keeps incredibly loyal to him because she knows who the real Damien is. Even after what he tells her!

This book/series owns me. It is SO MUCH BETTER than Fifty Shades of Grey. J. Kenner really did an amazing job setting this book apart. Her writing is so thoughtful and beautifully done. Everyone NEEDS to read not only this book, but the series. It deserves to be just as popular if not more than FSoG.

Very much like 50 shades where he wants to hurt/sex women who look like his mom. But with both the characters want that. Well Damien wants to always stay in control & when he can’t he lashes out in the bedroom but not to the extent as Mr. Grey. Nikki in the other hand relishes in the pain because she craves it because it keeps her grounded when she’s mad, embarrassed, or reminded of her past.

Damien goes on trial for possible murder like whaaaaaaat?!

DNF probably halfway through. I was lukewarm on the first book and I hate the trend of only putting out half a story to get people to buy a sequel so I wasn't happy about starting #2. I couldn't bring myself to give any more fucks about the story line when I started this one.

"Claim Me" is the second installment to J. Kenner's Stark Trilogy and it answered a few questions that I had from the first book. The second book picks up from where the first book left off at, so if you have not read the first book, I recommend it.

This book has a lot of angst, friendship blow ups, and lots, lots of HOT sexual scenes between Nikki and Damien. The purple scarf on the cover of the book plays a very significant role in the book. =)

I give this book 4.5 full moons and highly recommend it to contemporary romance and erotica readers out there. This book is intended for 18+ mature audience though to warn you.
There is anal play, mild BDSM, and a lot of sexual escapades in this book that will have you taking a cold shower afterward.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

In Claim Me, Nikki and Damien pick up where we left them. Damien is helping Nikki, and she is leaning on him a little more, but for some reason that man won't open up to her. Nikki has somewhat guessed what his issues are, but she wants him to need her as much as she needs him. Big surprise there. I'm sure that's how every D/s relationship is. I enjoyed book 1, but this 2nd installment fell a little flat for me. It seemed to drag for most of it, aside from the sex scenes. Those were worth the dragging. And then just when you think you may be close to done with a tidy ending- BAM! J Kenner hits you with some more drama and lets you know there will be a part 3! So cliff hanger aside, I am looking forward to seeing where Nikki and Damien leave off. Because if there's one thing I love, it's a hot and sexy bad ass story with a HEA!

We continue with the Stark series with Claim Me. In this story we get some more yumminess between Damien and Nikki. Both Damien and Nikki are embarking and learning each other in this relationship they have. Nikki is wanting to know more about Damien’s past and the secrets he hides. Damien is striving to learn to trust in Nikki and the love she has for him. Both Damien and Nikki are tortured souls who find what they need in each other. We see how truly right they are for each other in all the right ways. This book continues right off after book one. So they are finishing up their “contracted” deal we had in book one. But soon both Damien and Nikki will have to deal with secrets being revelead and the craziness of dealing with the paparazzi and a huge secret of Damien that will come into light. In this book however, we learn so much more about Damien and his past. We learn and see how much he has overcome, and the incredible pain he had to go through when he was young. My heart just about broke for this hero. He has gone through so much and seeing him find some peace that he deserves with his relationship in Nikki soothes the reader.

“You humble me, Nikki. Don’t you see that? It must be clear from my expression that I do not, because he goes on. “If I do all those things for you–soothe you, center you, give you strength–then that is worth more to me than every penny I have earned building Stark International.”

It just warmed my soul to see the depths of their relationship grow stronger. We see how strong and determined Nikki is. I just admired her character even more. We see more depths to her as well, the complexities and the way she works through challenges. Now I will say that the sex scenes get more heated in this book, and quite long too. That is probably my only complaint, is I felt like I had to skim through some of the pages because it got too much for me. But there is also something so gravitating about Claim Me and I just wanted more of this couple especially with the small teaser it leaves us with here. I wouldn’t call it a full on cliff hanger, but is a small one? I definitely was more than eager to pick up book three to find out what happens.

I did not like this one as much as the last. This one was more dramatic and many of the scenes seemed more rushed or harder to imagine and not believable. There was even more rude or withdrawn character traits of Damien in this book. Overall I did not like the plot line as much as the first one.

Overall it was a decent book. I was kind of back and forth on it though because it seems like every 5 pages they are having sex. Although it is good and I don't hate it I wanted more story, I wanted more of what was going on and why it was happening. Not just sex sex and more sex. It ended on a good note and left me wanting to know where things go now. So I will go onto the next book and get closure, and hopefully it wont be as full of sex, and I get more of their story.
