Overall it was a decent book. I was kind of back and forth on it though because it seems like every 5 pages they are having sex. Although it is good and I don't hate it I wanted more story, I wanted more of what was going on and why it was happening. Not just sex sex and more sex. It ended on a good note and left me wanting to know where things go now. So I will go onto the next book and get closure, and hopefully it wont be as full of sex, and I get more of their story.

[b:Claim Me|17415810|Claim Me (Stark Trilogy, #2)|J. Kenner|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1361808283s/17415810.jpg|21908552] (Stark Trilogy, #2) by [a:J. Kenner|6459302|J. Kenner|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1449167361p2/6459302.jpg] is an Erotic Contemporary Romance with a bit of Intrigue and Suspense.
I give it a full 4.5 star rating. I almost went with a solid 5 stars, but changed my mind when I took the entirety of the story in consideration. The writing is in the most part without flaw. No editing errors of any kind. It flows easily and pulls you in. The main characters, Damien and Nikki are complex and well developed. Damien is NOT your typical billionaire control freak type. He doesn't hide nor deny how he feels for Nikki. He allows her to see how he feels about her. Nikki is not your stereotypical beauty queen. She isn't that indecisive twit that runs from every little problem their relationship may have. These qualities in our H/H makes this a more mature and enjoyable read then what we see in so many of these types of stories. The erotica is also well written and very steamy. Definitely mature and romantic.
My only problem, and the reason for 4.5 stars, is the areas where the author drags out things that detract from the suspense and intrigue of the story. We should have a bit more understanding of certain key characters and various elements in the story. But instead she has installed some very trivial scenes to take the place of that info. I know a lot of that information will be in the 3rd book, but they would have been better served in this part of the story.

Nikki and Damien's story continues and I must say that this book was a lot more my speed than the first one. It seems that Nikki and Damien have settled into how do they feel about their relationship and that also makes them more confident in their feelings about themselves. There's plenty of stuff going on outside of their relationship and that gives us a chance to see them in a lot of different situations. I like that Nikki is stronger in this book. I like that Damien starts to open up. All in all I'm not sorry I gave this series another chance and read this book.

It is said that good things come to those who wait. When you're a reader waiting for THE next book the wait can feel interminable. When that next book is not only good but exceeds all those anticipatory feelings you've held onto FOREVER...it's BLISSFUL! Such is the case with the second book in the Stark Trilogy by J. Kenner. I devoured the first book, [b:Release Me|15799166|Release Me (Stark Trilogy, #1)|J. Kenner|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1390878363s/15799166.jpg|21522131], in January, and, at that time, thought I would have to wait until July to read Claim Me. Then...relief. The release date was moved up to April 23. Hallelujah! But, still, FOUR MONTHS?! I had to wait FOUR WHOLE MONTHS! It.Was.So.Worth.It! ::::::squee::::::

4-45 stars

Release Me continues on where Claim Me ended.

Scarred, former pagaent queen Nikki Fairchild has been in LA only a few weeks, and her relationship with billionaire Damien Stark is going full steam ahead.

But Damien has secrets, and will they tear this pair apart?

Then the papparazzi get a whiff of Damien and Nikki's "agreement" and twist it horribly, creating their own stories.

I really enjoyed this book, the growth in both Nikki and Damien is wonderful to read.

Am really looking forward to reading Complete Me

So this book did do a little over kill in the bedroom because I was wanting to see what his big secret was. Part of it was what I thought it was but the other shocked me but not to much if I thought about things realistically. I absolutely loved the way her painting was described and how much strength someone who dealt with everything she did has. Can't wait to read the next installment.

I had some serious issues with the first book in this series, Release Me, primarily that it was tough to distinguish it from the Fifty Shades and Crossfire series. And, when I read it, there was no mention that it was part of a trilogy…very frustrating when you reach the end of a book and it doesn’t end. Lastly, the erotic elements of that story weren’t all that inventive.

Because of the incomplete ending, I was committed to giving the series at least one more book for redemption and it was a really good decision. It didn’t take long for the story to start moving down its own path, creating an identity all its own.

It starts where the last story ended, with Nikki continuing her arrangement with Damien, although by this time, the two of them are completely aware of the depth of their emotional connection. As much as Dom Damien makes claim on Nikki, she’s got just as much of a command of him. He’s still not opening up as fully with her as she’s been with him, but Damien makes it absolutely clear about what holds him back and what he’s doing to overcome it. I liked that there was balance in the relationship, both putting themselves at risk.

The storyline wasn’t predictable, meandering down its original path building intrigue and introducing new characters in the mix that begin to explain the enigma called Damien. Not everyone who’s supposedly close to these two is necessarily committed to their well being, which kept me engaged. I loved that I wasn’t certain where the clues would lead and the climax was startling but made sense, as much as it can without more details. The ending left me in a really good place and I’m excited to get to the final chapter.

Oh, and if the sexual encounters in the first story felt ho-hum or redundant, Kenner turned the heat up and created an inferno in this one. I will NEVER be able to look at or think of chocolate fondue the same way again. Damien didn’t lack creativity here and it was...you’re just going to have to read it for yourself.

Bravo for a really good turnaround in this series! I liked the story, the developing Damien, the bright, intelligent and interesting Nikki and loved their intimate moments that challenged my imagination. It’s worth the time. You won’t be bored and, if you’re like me, you just might learn something.

‘Claim me’ is the second book in the Stark trilogy. I really loved the first book ‘Release me’ so I was super excited to start in the second book of the story of Nikki and Damien Stark. Damien Stark is one of my favorite book characters and I think this series is even better than the Crossfire series.

In ‘Claim me’ the story of Nikki and Damien continues after their ‘agreement’ is over. Nikki’s painting is done and she has one million dollars at her bank account. But Nikki and Damien aren’t over, they just can’t get enough of each other. Nikki finds herself falling more and more for the sexy billionaire and soon their relationship becomes more intense than ever before. But Damien has a lot of ‘demons’ of which Nikki knows nothing. Will his secrets become the end of their relationship or will Damien find the courage to start telling Nikki about his past?

I really loved this book. Although the start was a little too much sex stuff for me, this book soon became better and better. Soon it reminded me about how much I loved ‘Release me’ and I just couldn’t put it down. The relationship between Nikki and Damien gets stronger and stronger and I really liked the way you just knew, without reading the words, that they fall more and more in love with each other. Even though a lot of people are against them and make their live a little harder, their love for each other is what keeps them going. I just fell in love with them. I really really liked them. I just can’t wait to start reading in the third book.

I give this book five stars.
