Blameless was enjoyable enough, but I feel like I've lost interest in this series. Although I love Carriger's wit these books just seem to be missing something for me. I doubt I will read the last two books.

I was honestly disappointed by this book in the series. I feel like we started to veer into more over-the-top ridiculousness and less of the actual relationships of the characters.

As stated in my last update, this luckily didn't fall into the trap of inventing a baby storyline and completely losing the plot. I actually found it very enjoyable, adding many layers to already outrageous but amazing world Carriger has created within her many series. So much happens between the pages of these books and Alexia continues to be one of my favorite heroines.

Rated 3.5-8 stars, mostly because Maccon was a fool for 50% which really annoyed me. However, Alexia had the right idea!

3.5 stars for Maccon's idiocy. I have no patience for what he did! At all! But 3.8 for the rest of the developing story, since Alexia is a pro all the way through, sticking to her guns and things she needs to do. Mixed with that parodies on English societal behaviours, vampire assassins, mechanical bees, and scientific templars, Blameless breaks out of Britain and across the Continent on Alexia's search for answers to a truth that Maccon can't yet face.

I will say though, that even though she almost falls back into his arms, Alexia still has her way making him compromise on things that would ordinarily be difficult for him to compromise on. By the end of Blameless however, I still didn't forgive him!

Review to come.
