The third act breakup/relationship tension in this story really gave me the ick. It was building the entire book and it made me super uncomfortable through the whole story.

I appreciated the mental health aspect of the characters in this book (hooray for normalizing). Didn't love the jealous ex-girlfriend/friend because it made the overall book feel juvenile, but understood it.

I'm not the biggest contemporary romance girlie but I did like this one! The ending definitely made me all soft and gushy and I hope for that kind of love in the future and I hope for the best for those two!! But the build up was just okay. Sometimes better than okay and sometimes less but overall, good.

This was also the first sports romance book I ever read and I guess I just wished there was more action?? I felt the sports scenes were more tell than show, you know?

But the smut was decent!
