Sorry Ali!
The story was too long and used overly scientific vocabulary. It’s mainly about a woman who’s good at swimming but spends her days stressed because of university work, swimming practice, and visiting her psychiatrist. She meets a handsome swimmer, and…

Honestly, I didn’t like it. Even though I think I read Not in Love, if I liked it, fine—but I stopped reading this one, Ali.

The only thing I liked was the cover design, the font, and the way the author used 💧💧💧 instead of three dots.

adventurous informative medium-paced

The first half dragged on and I was bored felt like a reuse of other character just changed up a bit. Then once it was past the half way mark it felt like an Ali hazelwood book

Perfect - just last 50 -70 pages slowed down pacing the tiniest bit and lagged. Loved the couple - were genuinely soulmates - I just wish the last part were a bit concise so that the ending came together a bit more smoothly. But honestly one of the FEW books that does the physical first trope well - the tension (despite them being intimate very quickly on) NEVER GOES AWAY. These two were so cute - ali hazelwood doesn't get enough credit for her YEARNING - like oh my gosh she does it so well. The femaile characters don't change for the man - but rather the man accepts them however they are and goes a step farther and understands the female characters thoughts and the way they think (ex: love theoritically's main characters thing of faking personalities, scarlets discomfort from men, her panic with unexpected things, what she wants intimatally, etc.) WOW the actions of care were impeccable and Lukas pays attention to everything about scarlet - it was soo cute. This book is MUCH more than just a smutty book.
