One of the more campy if Christie's books. Very enjoyable and felt like she was having fun with the troupes I'd detective novels. Just didn't love all the racist descriptions of "Oriental" people.

It was a simple fun read for a 9 hours of train journey. One can really enjoy reading it once although this is not the best of Agatha Christie.

I’m working on becoming a Poirot completist so my husband and I listened to this on a day where we ended up spending 6.5 hours in the car checking out potential new (very old) vehicles for my husband. We didn’t find a car, but we did finish the whole book! This was definitely not a favorite- a little too far fetched and spy themed for us, but enjoyable enough to not be mad about it.

Honestly, I did not know what to expect from this book. Despite what majority said, I actually quite enjoy this.

Firstly, I was delighted to find Hastings back in the game. Secondly, it was more "action-packed" for a Poirot book and that I found quite refreshing.

Even though, this book wasn't about us, the reader, trying to figure out who did it amongst all the suspects that Agatha Christie has presented to us, this book still manages to keep me at the edge of my seat.

Most importantly, it was really heartwarming to read about how much Poirot cares about his friend, Hastings.

The 5th book on my life goal to read all of the agatha christie book in order

Honestly it took me so long to complete this, to the point that i almost giving up so many times. But i held it and finally finish the book after 2 months

"The Big Four" by Agatha Christie falls short of the captivating mystery experience I have come to expect from the queen of mysteries. The plot, riddled with convoluted subplots, lacks the focused elegance that has made Christie's works timeless.

Character development also disappoints, with Hercule Poirot feeling strangely detached and lacking the charm that makes him so beloved.

While her prose typically transports readers to captivating worlds, "The Big Four" lacks the immersive magic that make me feel attached to the world building.

Overall, this entry feels like a missed opportunity. So i would not reccomend this one if you guys wanna read Christie's book
