I really liked Lucy, the histrionic spawn of the devil. The book provides some feelgood mushiness for the soul.

It feels like the way Charlie and the chocolate factory or Matilda made me feel as a child. It's such a wonderful book in how it explores the relationships between people from very different realities. I love how Linus Baker starts with being the most by-the-book guy there ever was and overcomes his prejudices, embraces diversity of perspectives, and becomes the endearing, adorable man! I love every kid. And I love the major relationship of the book so much I was giggling in the last few chapters. Very heart warming. Very soothing.

I really wanted to get into this book because two friends reccd it to me. About 3 hours, I did have some laughs in the beginning but this book drags on too much and theirs is still no sensible plot. I can’t endure another 8 hours of this book for a beginning , middle, and end
