It's like as if a poet writes a thriller. The writing isn't meant for the genre. And it doesn't live up to the hype of the praise it has received up until the last 50 pages of the book. But the plot twist was definitely unexpected and had me shocked and it's quite a disturbing read and made me ponder over the extents that humans are willing to go at for the people they love. Will possibly make you agree that no one is inherently good or bad, but it's the about the choices you make that makes you who you are.

Liked it but didn’t love it! I found the plot interesting and creepy but I just felt like there was something missing!

This was a terrifying plot that kept me riveted throughout the entire book, especially learning that it is based on similar true events. The emotional rollercoaster the author takes you on is intense and at times you feel like you're living it. The ending was slightly too Hollywood for me, as I think it could have easily gone on for another hundred pages in order to really explore the consequences, as I'm not a fan of everything being wrapped up in a pretty bow. Other than that it was solid.
