This series is like a binge-y tv show, I just want to keep reading and getting into the personal drama and plot points. I really hope there are more books.

A delicious story for someone growing up on Wattpad werewolf books. One of my favourite book series of all time. I love all these characters. This book was a little lacking in spice but upped in banter. Wishing there was more.

Although I loved Judd and Colin, I did not think this book was as well balanced as the others.
The end felt crowded and rushed.
But the relationship aspects were good.

Well worth the wait

I preordered this pretty much the nanosecond it was announced. I love and adore this series, particularly The Omega Objection, and was eagerly anticipating more. Despite the high expectations involved, I wasn’t let down at ALL. In fact, I was laughing and highlighting from the very first scene. In addition to the intelligent wit, there’s a good amount of hurt/comfort done extremely well, and all the characters have so much depth that they feel real to me.

I don’t think I’ll be able to resist a reread while excitedly waiting for the next in the series.

Thanks to the author for the ARC. This in no way affects my review.

The main thing about this particular book is that while this is the story about Colin, the youngest of Alec's pack and the one who seems the most repressed, we are learning more about Judd. Don't get me wrong, I liked the little bit of lore we got of this new world where Shifters are a part of modern society, but there seemed to be a disconnect between the story of Colin and Judd and the story of the selkie mob. And there do seem to be some elements that don't seem to quite mesh with the way our world is verses the world of San Andreas. I know that this is a work of science fiction/fantasy, but it is set in the modern world, and what we are experiencing in the modern world should show up some in the book, in my opinion.

The found family aspect of this book though is where it truly flies and takes the cake! I love that Alec, Alpha of the San Andreas Shifters, has created a family where everyone can be safe and loved and flourish into who they want to be. You can see that Alec truly cares for everyone and their well-being, and that includes making sure that his packmates are safe and secure in their love for him. He also makes sure that their home, their den, is a place of safety and security, a place where they can be who they fully want/need to be, without dressing up or down

If you like the San Andreas books and the story of this wonderful gay pack and all you need is some escapism, this I would recommend you read this cute story. But if you're expecting there to be mentions of what our world is going through and how that affects the world, and pack, of San Andreas, then maybe don't turn to this one quite yet. Overall, a good story, but there could have been a bit more cohesion.
