I get that this book is based on allegory for how being a woman can be a crime and what's expected of women from society but I just wanted to read a story and not necessarily read in between the lines. I was lost during the second half of this book and thought the dialogue was overall confusing. Sentences were short and felt fragmented. If it had been any longer I definitely would not have finished this book because just finishing 194 pages felt like work.

bof - personnages pas assez développés ce qui fait qu’on peut pas s’attacher à eux et on a du mal à entrer dans l’histoire.

on sait pas vraiment ce qu’il se passe mais ça donne pas un aspect mystérieux. on a plutôt l’impression que c’est du travail fait à moitié et du mystère pas vraiment réussi.

la traduction française est écrite au passé simple - sûrement une décision éditoriale avec ses raisons - mais ça rend l’histoire moins accessible et moins réaliste puisqu’on a l’impression que ça c’est passé il y a des années en arrière mais rien dans le livre ne confirme cette impression.
