Another fantastic read from Sally Hepworth.
The complicated world of sisters is brought to the fore in this novel, with one added complication- a sister with sensory issues. Is Rose a ‘Good Sister’ and taking care of Fern or is there something more sinister going on? Is Fern as innocent as she seems in her quest to be the ‘Good Sister’ Rose needs?
When someone interrupts their life, the sisters lean on each other as never before. As a reader, you will grit your teeth as you sees the cracks start forming. By the time the crack is a gaping canyon you could be yelling at the book ‘open your eyes’...’can’t you see what’s going on?’
I love a great read where you get taken somewhere unexpected and fall in love/or hate with characters. It shows how well written a book is to make you feel such emotions.
Also, I love the little shout outs by the author for her author friends. What else should we expect when half the book is set in a library. Well played Sally, well played.

The Good Sister is the first book that I have read by Sally Hepworth and it definitely won’t be the last one. The story is narrated through the eyes of Fern Castle and it also uses the journal pages of her twin sister Rose to add a different perspective.

I have to admit that I absolutely loved Fern from the very beginning. Fern is really different from other characters that I have seen before and I found that to be very refreshing. I found Rose to be controlling, shady and very smothering. There was something about her that made me not want to connect with her on any level whatsoever.

Oh my gosh there was so much drama, betrayal, suspense and so many secrets. I never predicted anything that happened and I found myself totally gobsmacked. This was a very intense and emotional roller coaster ride that I would willing ride again.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
