This is an incredible book. It’s long, and can be a little slow at times, but I don’t think anything could be cut. This was almost more about the journey than the destination. It made the ending powerful.

I cannot begin to describe how impactful this book was to me. The story is so unique, the fantasy is riveting, the characters and plot are beautifully crafted, and it will be hard for another fantasy book (besides Lord of the Rings and Mistborn of course) be capable of surpassing this one in world building, themes, and life lessons. If I could give this book a million stars I would.
