Es ist kein typischer Terry Roman, auch wenn er eine gewisse Zweideutigkeit enthält. Hier zu sehen am Titel "Die gemeine Hauskatze" Aus Duden online.de :
1. (Botanik, Zoologie, sonst veraltend) keine besonderen Merkmale habend, durch nichts herausragend
2. (veraltend) auf die Allgemeinheit bezogen
3. (in Bezug auf jemandes Verhalten o. Ä.) in empörender Weise moralisch schlecht; niederträchtig

Not my favorite and I so happened to have a copy simply because younger me saw cartoon cats and thought "this is the book for me" — cue her not understanding the big words in the first chapter and leaving it to collect dust. Gotta thank her though, it did come in handy eventually, she just knew I'd become a fabled book reader as she so romanticized before!
I digress, it was a nice, witty read while my cat snoozes on my lap as my leg falls asleep with him.

Amusing and full of truisms about cats and their people. Not my favorite Sir Pterry, but well worth reading.
Unadulterated Cat is clearly written by somebody who has seen dogs at other people's houses but never owned one, because it's full of unnecessary sideswipes about dogs being inferior while lauding cats for doing things that all of my dogs do or have done. It therefore annoyed me intensely.
It's cleverly written, of course, but if I wasn't a completist I'd be giving it to a cat owner who would probably appreciate it more.
