Jako wielka fanka kotów wiedziałam, że prędzej czy później sięgnę po ten tytuł i w końcu nadszedł ten dzień. Kot w stanie czystym to książka na jedno popołudnie przypominająca trochę przewodnik po kotach, ale z taką duuuużą dawką Pratchettowskiego humoru. Dla mnie w porządku, choć oczekiwałam, że jednak będzie w niej trochę jakiejś fabuły. Ale same obrazki z pewnością zadowolą prawdziwych fanów tych futrzaków.
Don't read this at a bus stop. Or in public. Or anywhere people will give you strange looks and start edging away. (Who knew laughing out loud could be so disturbing!)

I do like a good Discworld book so was interested to see what a non discworld book was like and as an owner of three cats thought this might hit the spot.
I have to say this did have me smiling to myself as I read it. All of our cats started out with one name each and have ended up with several such as Wellyoushouldn'tofbinstandingthere. I also liked the type of cats - farm cats, neighbours cats, cartoon cats and sort of tabby cats, with a bit of ginger, but sometimes in the right light you could swear theres a hint of Siamese there.
With three cats on our household I often see a game of cat chess going on, he's really nailed the cat character on that one. And what would have happened to the cat if there had been no dogs - well there were certainly some interesting breeds in that section - King Charles Lapcat, The Tabby Retriever and my favourite The Dachskatz: An affectionate pet, often referred to as the sausage mob. Popular in the home that can't afford draught excluders. Also, the only cat that can brush up against the front and the back of your legs at the same time.
A light entertaining read that I will have to have another look at sometime.
