POV: First person / Dual
Genre: One Night Stand / Neighbours / Single Dad / Widower / Grumpy & Sunshine
Landon is a single Dad who is gruff, grumpy and stand-offish with everyone who isn’t his daughter, Stella. Elle is new to Boston, and just out of an emotionally abusive relationship. When she meets Landon, she has no idea who he is and wants nothing more than one night with the handsome stranger next to her at the hotel bar. However the fates align and Elle is pushed into Landon’s proximity in more ways than one.
I loved Landon’s character progression, the way his story unravelled was beautiful, showing that under his gruff exterior, guilt and fear, was actually an empathetic, big hearted and thoughtful dreamer. Landon was a protective alpha, yet a swoon worthy sweetheart in equal measure. I’ve loved J Saman’s Fritz boys from the start, but I have to say Landon is my favourite.
As for Elle, I loved her strength; her courage and confidence were beautiful to read. She was also vulnerable and scarred by her past, I felt the way that J Saman wrote about Elle’s emotional abuse and it’s lasting effects, was something to be applauded, the subject matter was written in a delicate yet strong way.
As a secondary character I loved Stella, she was smart and lovable, vulnerable and strong, damaged and resilient. Her relationship with her father pulled at my heart, it was so beautiful. But I also loved her relationship with Elle, their bond was adorable and so heartwarming.
I really enjoyed the pace of the book and the progression of Landon and Elle’s romance, their chemistry was instantaneous and their connection powerful. Doctor Heartless packed the right amount of angst into its well developed romance, there were some great plot twists and funny moments that enhanced the emotionally charged story line.
Congratulations on another fantastic release, I can’t wait to read Luca and Raven’s story now after the snippet at the end!

Billionaire cardiologist and single father Dr. Landon Abbot-Fritz still blames himself for the death of his wife, Reese, nine years ago. Having already lost the love of his life, he has no interest in starting another relationship, but he does get lonely sometimes. When that happens, he heads to a bar for a one-night stand. It's on one such night that he meets Ellery "Elle" Wilde, who has recently moved to Boston for a fresh start after a difficult divorce. They spend the night together, though both are clear that it can't be anything more. It's therefore a massive shock when she finds out the next morning that Landon pretended to be his identical twin, Luca, at the bar, and that he's her new next-door neighbor. Even worse, Elle is Landon's daughter Stella's new history and wellness teacher. As she attempts to build a new life for herself, Elle will have to navigate school politics, a strained relationship with her family, and her intense feelings for the forbidden man next door, not to mention a growing friendship with his precocious daughter.
I loved this sweet, sexy, and heartwarming story, which featured endearing, relatable characters and a compelling plot. I particularly empathized with Elle, whose emotions were understandably in turmoil throughout the first part of the story. She was dealing with a lot between the end of her marriage, the move to Boston, and meeting Landon; as exciting as it was for her to have a chance at a fresh start in which she was able to make her own choices, it scared her at the same time. No matter how hard they tried to resist, she and Landon kept being drawn back to each other, and ultimately, they were able to help each other heal. I loved seeing them come together as a family with his daughter Stella. He was so sweet and supportive of her, and their relationship was one of my favorite parts of the book.
I highly recommend "Doctor Heartless" for all fans of angsty/emotional contemporary romance and look forward to the next book in the series.

After reading ‘Doctor Mistake’ a little while ago. I knew I wanted to read more books by this author and in this series. So when I got the opportunity to read ‘Doctor Heartless’, I couldn’t resist.
In ‘Doctor Heartless’ we meet Elle and Landon. Both these characters have been through a lot, and they are both sure they aren’t looking for a relationship or anything serious. So when Elle and Landon meet in a bar, they sound like the perfect one night stand couple. There encounter shouldn’t have been more than scratching an itch, but there is something between them that scares them both. Luckily the won’t be seeing each other again after this one night.
But fate has other plans. Elle’s new house is right next to where Landon lives with his daughter. And Elle is Landon’s daughter Stella’s new teacher. Things couldn’t be more awkward. But fortunately Landon is horrible to Elle when they meet again, so it should be easy to forget all about their night. But they can’t seem to stay from each other, and slowly they get to know each other better. But will they be able to life with both their pasts?!
‘Doctor Heartless’ was definitely a book I’d loved right from the start. Landon’s character was just so easy to love. Even though he was awful to Elle, he just was an amazing father.. and when you read about his past you can easily forgive him for his rudeness. The chemistry between Elle and Landon was also very intense and flying of the pages. I just loved reading about them.
There was something in this story that I thought was a bit much, I won’t write it down since I don’t want to spoil it. But it just didn’t work for me, and felt a bit unbelievable. Luckily, the rest of this story, the characters and the chemistry between was so good, I could easily forget about that one thing.
In this book we read a lot less about the ‘Doctor’ part, than in the previous book, but I still loved it. Elle and Landon’s story was just incredible, and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

So good. So so good
I think this has been my favorite of the Billionaire Bachelors. Two damaged people fighting through their feelings, so much spicy (5/5 spicy) tension, and not a lot of bickering and arguing like so many other books out there. I’ve become emotionally attached to the Fritz family. And who knew Ferris wheels could be so much fun?

OMG So much love for Landon. He's so shattered that he has no idea where to begin the process of finding a new partner. He cares so much about how his daughter feels and wants to reassure her that he is not attempting to replace her mother. The fact that he seems to be in two different people (in a positive manner) just enhances the drama and makes you fall in love with him even more. Elle's family, on the other hand, threw me for a loop. You have no idea how angry I am at the way she was treated and the way she was used. My favorite part is...well, I don't want to give anything away, but the conclusion is incredibly well-done, and the manner in which Landon and his father dealt with the parents was excellent.
Landon and Elle's story was beautiful. I love stories based on grief because the books stand out in a different way. Landon's back story was heartbreaking and heartwarming intertwined. Landon's love for his wife is admirable and I loved how he did his best at keeping her in his daughter's life.
Elle's story is plain heartbreaking but I loved watching her grow into herself and seeing her confidence grow. As the story goes on, her story just gets more heartbreaking as she finds out the secrets those in her life have been keeping from her.
While Elle and Landon both have heartbreaking back stories, their love story was fun, light, and happy. I loved their banter, their hate-filled arguments and everything about them. I loved every minute of this book!

I loved this book SO SO much. It has to be my favorite from this series so far. This story just flows so smoothly as well and I enjoyed every second of it. The love and the banter, the moments between Elle and Stella were just perfect. Elle gives a lot of meaningful advice in this book. You can only hope that every child has a teacher who shares these kinds of life lessons. It made the love and relationship between them even more realistic and genuine. Landon and Elle have amazing chemistry. It was great to see how both MC’s worked through their emotional issues and that made for some great character development. They both learn and grow so much, I felt honored to read these characters progress. The book starts with a bang as well and I loved how everything developed from there. The pacing and writing were good as always. I especially recommend this book to those who like single dad romances.
