A really sweet love story. Full, rich queer and trans characters. I wish I’d been able to read this as a teen. The celebrations for Dia de Meurtos and the brujx family dynamics provided a fresh perspective.

Cemetery Boys is a heartfelt and magical story about Yadriel, a trans boy determined to prove himself. When a ritual goes wrong, he accidentally summons Julian, the school’s bad boy, who refuses to move on until they uncover the mystery of his death.

I fell in love with the characters—Yadriel and Julian’s relationship is so cute, and the family dynamic is relatable. The story strikes the perfect balance of humor, heart, and spookiness while also exploring deeper themes like identity, family, and acceptance.

Aiden Thomas weaves Latinx culture beautifully throughout the book. I especially love that he’s from my hometown, Oakland, and that he’s Latinx it makes the story feel authentic and personal.

Cemetery Boys is a must read for anyone who enjoys queer romance, magical adventures, and stories full of heart and culture.
