Sweet but forgettable

I probably liked this more than I should have, but I simply couldn't put the book down. I enjoyed how the story took place over several years. This made it easier for me to build an emotional connection with the characters.

Absolutely adorable!

An excellent love story, it made me want to find my true love. Sometimes you've met the person you should be with, but the circumstances were not aligned. All you can hope for is the time will come when it is right.

I was hesitant about this story because it promises heartbreak - but the journey to a happy ending was worth it. I didn't like putting this down. I easily could have listened to it in one sitting had I not had other things calling my attention. The characters were flawed yet endearing, the situations realistic. And the narration by Eleanor Tomlinson and Charlie Anson was fantastic. Some of the best British voice acting I've heard in awhile.

At beginning of book was okay. Whole of book was ok but very annoying because I was like...comeon, just confess to him that you liked him!!!
So annoying for not tell him in 10 years something!!

Silver beautifully captures the human experience- the trials of life and adulthood, the consequences of the decisions we make, the tough choices we make for the people we love. Silver offers hope that everything happens for a reason, and that one day, despite the heartache along the way, we may get our happily every after.

Absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. One Day in December is now one of my favorite romances of all time. What a beautiful story about friendship, love, heartbreak, death and more. I would LOVE to see a movie based on this but if that never happens, I can settle with watching Serendipity over and over to fill the void.

Cute!

this was just really disappointing. laurie and jack's chemistry is inexistent for me, every plot point was really predictable, the cheating trope involving a best friend is just never satisfying... jack is just a terrible character, i truly wanted better for laurie. laurie and sarah's friendship made me feel a lot more than laurie and jack ever could
