I have heard nothing but good things about this book online and I was not disappointed lol

I am mainly a MM reader so this is my first MF book is a really long time. But let me just say, I don’t dislike MF or any variation of it, I just read more MM books

At first, I thought the book was okay – he was possessive and very protective, and I assumed it was going to be a cute romance story. But as it went on and it turned out he was basically a stalker, it completely lost me. He treated her like an object, took over every part of her life, and manipulated her constantly. She had no independence left. In the end, it wasn’t romantic at all – just toxic and disturbing.

I was really on board for the first 75-80%, but the MMC’s possessiveness went from sexy to scary fast enough to seem forced (and the MFC is essentially re-victimized and convinces herself it’s what she wants). The book was set up in a way that I expected him to destroy the aggressive/learing men that seem to follow her everywhere and help her through her childhood issues, but it went from comforting her during a panic attack (yes) to caging her like an animal… bummed this one flipped so dramatically when it didn’t need to.
