I added this based on recommendations from a group that generally runs dark, but Linc's toxicity often made my skin crawl. 

Tragic back stories were fairly cliché. The whole "super poor and starving FMC" trope often unsettles me more than convincing me how sad her life is, how much she needs saving, and provides real character development. Same with the whole "unloved son of a billionaire".
