I read it after the thirs book of the series and it didn't dissapoint.

Too many unforgettable red flags from Lincoln. I wanted to love him. I wanted to root for him but I can't look pasted them. He is purposely ruining Monroe's life and even said "I was going to make her love me, even if I had to lock her up and wait for the Stockholm syndrome to take hold."

while i did enjoy reading this, i can only suspend my belief so far. he CHAINED her to keep her from leaving and never apologized once for ruining everything in her life, and yet she forgives him because what? the sex is good? dude took her entire independence. i was expecting the grovel of a LIFETIME and all i got was a “i’m never letting you go and you’re dealing with it”, leaving me deeply unsatisfied and supremely disappointed.

A well written book but the obsession went a little too far for me.

The audiobook sounded like it was being narrated by AI. Several words were pronounced oddly and the sentences didn’t flow naturally.
