Bringing together a smoldering fallen angel and very clever young woman as a protagonist make this novel simply excellent. I could see each part of the story unfolding in vivid detail as I turned every page. I cannot wait the read the next book, Crescendo.

Oooh....and people thought that Bella and Edward's relationship was unhealthy!!! I spent most of this book wanting to smack this ignorant girl into next week. She is the epitome of the slasher movie girl. I found myself screaming things like "Don't go into that room! Are you stupid?!" Regardless, I kept on reading, because what the author gets totally and completely right is the asshole hottie that apparently has some noble awesomesauce welling up inside him. I fell for it, and by the end of the book, I didn't care about the girl's safety. I just wanted her to get it on with the supernatural bad boy. Geez. Maybe the 2nd book will make me care about her again.

UGH. Like Twilight, but but with fallen angels. Can we please stop with the "I'm drawn to him because he's sexy and I think he might hurt me" additions to the YA canon? At one point Sexy Dangerous Angel tells the Pretty But Bookish with a Sad Past protagonist that he's drawn to her because she's "vulnerable." Later she decides to sacrifice herself for him, obviously. Don't worry, despite her noble sacrifice he gets to save her and become her guardian angel. No, I'm not making this up.

It wasn't extraordinary, that's the problem. I got lucky recently and have been reaading some very good books, and although Hush, Hush is cute I suspect Miss Fitzpatrick will get better later on. In her life, I mean. When her style matures and becomes steadier. She wasn't boring, which is a plus, and she was... not original exactly but not lovely either. So three stars. As I said before, "cute."

I have to say I really enjoyed this story. The story of a fallen angel was a new twist for me. There were a lot of plot twists and turns to keep you going and some intriguing ideas. I do wish our main character, Nora, had been developed a little more. I feel as if she were lacking a little. I am also always amazed at how easily the human characters take the supernatural. I wish there were a little more disbelief(or at least believeable disbelief) or angst about it or something. But that is a problem I have overall with this genre.

It is a page turner. You definitely want to find out more about Patch and that keeps you turning the pages. The romance aspect is definitely lacking in explanation and really needs to be explored more, but Patch's character overall really keeps you going.

This was just ok. The heroine had some really stupid moments but overall I didn’t feel much about her character. I couldn’t stand the best friend and she’s in the book a lot, so there is no getting away from her. Patch played his part well and he’s the only intriguing one in the group. Elliot...I’m not sure what the point of his character was. This ended in a way that it felt complete enough for me. I don’t see a point in moving onto book 2 since I was underwhelmed with the whole story. I’m glad I was able to borrow the audiobook from my library because the cost of the kindle book is too high IMO.
