The Book was incredible and Hunting it was twisted and gave me chills
I was on edge throughout the whole book. I totally loved it

I rate this book with 3.5 stars and that's because it earned the last .5 towards the end. I'm glad it did because it gave me a reason to read the second book in the series. The first 3/4 of the book were horrible. Very slow pace and very annoying. I've never rolled my eyes so much while reading a book. The only amazing character was Patch, the rest not so much. If the next book continues the same pace and romance the last few chapters had , I'm sure I will really enjoy it.

Over all I really liked this book. I liked that Nora was a strong female character with morals in place (as in she was able to stop herself from completely going for Patch when he kept flirting with her at first). I also liked the character Patch, I liked how he wasn't the typical hero, in fact he was a villain turned hero in the end.

My big things to pick with this story would be one: it took way too long for any explanation to be given in my opinion. In fact it isn't until Nora googles Fallen Angels that we get any idea of an explanation and even still it isn't for a long time that she finds any facts out. I did not like how she felt she needed to play detective by sneaking around, dressing up and interviewing people at Patch's work, and stuff like that to get information. I felt that was almost stupid of her at parts, as mentioned she was a smart students, and a smart girl who had experience with knowing how to keep yourself safe... so why would she put herself into those situations? (Ones mind you that there's no evidence of Jules or Patch influencing her into). I just did not see much behind it other than Vee being too big of an idiotic influence on her.
Which was my other thing with this story, Vee. Good god, though out the whole book I wanted Nora to scream at her. What kind of a 'best friend' insists on doing everything with the guy that you find suspicious? Granted, Jules may of had some hand in this, but STILL she just seemed beyond stupid to me and I couldn't stand it.
There were some small things but otherwise I loved the story and can't wait to read the next one in the series. I think the main characters (Nora and Patch) are great and though some things were not good in my opinion overall the story was great!

*3.75 stars*
A very easy but addicting read!

It was creepy, but by the end I liked it. I wouldn't rave about it, though.

This is more is just a taste of what is Crescendo (2nd book in the series). For the lovers of romance(especially hot bad guys) this is a must read. Patch is a total hottie, not to mention a total angel. Then Crescendo leaves you at a total cliff hanger. Great book!

So there seems to be a lot of different types of ratings for this book, and I completely understand where some of the lower ratings are coming from, but either way, I still love this book.

SUMMARY:
In this book, Nora Gray is a typical teenage girl who is attracted to the very mysterious Patch. Patch seems to be hiding something and knows more about Nora than he should. Part of Nora seems to be scared of him, yet the other part trusts him completely, especially after it seems that her life is in danger.

REVIEW:
Okay, I know, not a great summary, but it's hard to give a summary on this book without giving too much away... you know, because the cover doesn't do that already. Anyway...

There are a lot of reason's why I really love this book. The first one, is Nora. I can actually relate to her. She's one of the goody-good girls that never really does anything wrong, and that was actually me back in high school. I can understand what her attraction is to Patch, even though he seems to so different and maybe even dangerous.

Then there's Patch. I'm sorry, but I'm a sucker for bad boys who can be softies. Yet, at no point in the book, or even the entire series (don't worry I won't give anything away), does he ever seem to change who he is. He is a bad boy. He is someone who hasn't really cared for anyone but himself for a long time. And even though he slowly starts to change, his mysterious and closed-off persona never truly leaves him.

Nora and Patch are never cheesy with each other, not now, not in the other books, and that's what also makes it easy to love them.

Then there's the whole otherworldly type thing to Patch, that can be hard to do. I'm not a fan of the overly perfect characters just because they have something not entirely human about them. I don't really care what they are, they just better have flaws. They better have consequences and the likes. That's just my opinion and Fitzpatrick doesn't disappoint in this front either. The paranormal world that we are introduced to doesn't seem far-fetched or annoyingly perfect.

I, personally, really liked this book and I have read it at least twice since the first time I got it a couple of years ago. And as far as the series overall, in case you are wondering, I think this is probably the best one of all. This one and maybe the last one as well. It never really gets cheesy, and the mystery never stops coming, which I love.
dark mysterious tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

(ETA: this book honestly did feel like a four for me (because, well, Patch Cip—) but after much rethinking, I figured I need to be objective when doing this rating thing, so after looking at the book objectively, what was four stars is now three. But for me it's a four. So on the actual review I still say it's a four.)

Yeah.

Yeah. I know, I know, this book has so many flaws. Major flaws. I admit I felt very "Twilight"-y reading it. I know there are so many books way better than this. But, you know, three stars on my rating means "it was eh, it didn't give me a lasting impression, I most likely won't pick up the book again in the future," whereas four stars means "it was a fun read, I liked it, I'll probably reread it someday." And I have to say, the book felt like a four to me.

The pacing is great and the humor is pretty good. At the beginning Nora's attraction to and interest in Patch was admittedly strange and wrong, but I always thought it was a fallen angel thing. It may not be the best book ever with the realest facts, but for me it was, at the very least, an entertaining read.

Give it a try. It's a "like it or hate it" book. Either you despise it or you enjoy it. I myself fall into the latter category, but I'm a fifteen year old girl.

Also, I'm a sucker for supernatural. And angels. And mysterious cute boys. And Patch Cipriano. Just, Patch Cipriano.

So yeah, four stars. Probably like, three-point-eight. But you get the idea.

((Patch Cipriano.))

I read this when I was in middle school and I loved it. Now that I'm older, I can tell this wasn't meant for someone my age lol. It not bad at all, it just very dated re-reading it and I'm chuckling to myself thinking someone in high school or middle school reading this now.
