Kind of a cookie-cutter teen paranormal romance story, but I liked the concept and enjoyed the overall story.

Why so many bad reviews?

I actually really enjoyed this book! I haven't found a book that I didn't want to put down in a long time and I really want to get the next volume.
With me though, I tend to spoil myself and read up on the next volume.

Even though I did that, I still want to read it! Shocking for me anyway.
It's the mystery and connection between the characters and... well.. the smexyness of Patch. I mean, the way he acts for the most part just makes me giggle like a school girl.

I usually get really annoyed with the whole "i'm attracted to you but I hate you!" thing but it worked in the book.
I just hope the rest of the books are just as good...

Es uno De Los mejores Libros Que he leido. Tiene Una buena historia, se queda flojo En algunos personajes pero La historia Es muy divertida y muy emocionante.

I was really excited about reading this one; I've heard good things about it, and the cover is ahmazing. But I was a little disappointed. I can see where the comparisons to Twilight come from, but really, there are so many books with the same sort of storyline out now, I think this would be considered pretty unique. Nora was okay, I REALLY liked Patch (what can I say, I have a thing for bad boys), but the characters weren't that memorable to me. The standard mysterious-paranormal-he's-dangerous-but-I-can't-stay-away guy, and the standard good-girl-I'm-usually-so-responsible-and-smart.
The beginning was kinda slow, but the ending was pretty thrilling. All in all, a good book if you like paranormal romance, but don't expect too much.

Read this as a teen and don’t remember liking it all that much. Read it now as an adult and definitely don’t like it. Nora is annoying. Vee is a terrible friend, who can’t read the room and she’s infuriating. Patch is a creep. All the characters are just not that great. They aren’t fleshed out properly and don’t feel “alive” to me. Boring and bland. :/

3.5.
I was expecting more from this. I wanted more. I felt it could have gone a lot of different ways which disappointed me. It happened to be very cliche and convenient at times.
However, that being said I think Patch was a super interesting character (in stark contrast to the main character Nora) and the book did keep my interest. I wanted to know what happened. It also was very sexy at parts which a girl can really admire.
