Bueno, que decirles, Patch cambio la química de mi cerebro en mi adolescencia y se mantiene en la actualidad.
Me gustó mucho cómo se fue desenvolviendo la relación entre Nora y Patch. Amo a Patch. Adoro a Nora.

I really enjoy the concept of this story, it was super fast paced a great palette cleanser in between books, and I look forward to reading the rest of this series!

Full Hush, Hush Review

First of all, I have to admit that the first thing I head about this book years ago has put me off up till now! Lesson: do not tell people you hate the book even if you do as you may rob them of good reading time! All tastes are different!

Now let's get going!

No. Just no no no. I did not enjoy this book as I expected. I went into it expecting bad writing, while reading everybody told me it was amazing and No! Just No!

description

I did not hate it but I did not love it either.

Alright alright, yes I am going to read next one.

This is so obviously a Twilight fan fic. There were sooooooo many similarities. Does that mean I didn't enjoy it immensely? No. Twilight was an addictive read and so was this. Replace angels with vampires and you get Hush, Hush. I'll be continuing the series and hoping that the ending is not crazy weird half-vampire baby nonsense like Twilight was.

I couldn’t finish this book, dearly on the cause that I just had no connection to any of the characters. I didn’t laugh, or understand what and why they were doing this. My mind kept wondering whenever I read it, and I just couldn’t get hooked into it. The characters like….Uhhh…Nora that’s right and Patch just didn’t attach to me like when I read other books. They had no personality besides being one dimensional, and the one with the most personality was Patch. But honestly I didn’t like him either.

What caught me: It was that damn cover!!! Oh the cover was so pretty, and I’m attracted to pretty shiny covers. It was in grayscale, and some of the feathers were a red tint, and some were black and it just caught my eye. And being that it was shiny, I got it. I wish I didn’t waste 7 or whatever it coasted to buy that damn thing. I could’ve bought the next book in the Fire and Ice series, but no, I was too stunned by that magnificent cover. This book has now taught me…never judge a book by its cover, because in the long run, it may come around and wipe whatever brain cells you had left. I think if I keep reading books like this, I’ll just wither away, and just become a crazy person. I hate books that have a Twilight like look and feel to them. Overall Twilight has ruined the idea of storytelling, and this is one of them.

Hush Hush’s plot revolves around Nora trying to figure out who and what Patch is. Beyond that I don’t really know, because once again…I gave up. I just couldn’t do it. Nora just bugged me. My nerves were growing less and less each time she talked. And Vee…oh god, her friend. Reminds me of some of those girls at my school, who you hear talking, and you just want to knock their teeth in, and tell them to shut the hell up. Patch was easier to stay with, but yet again he was just creepy…like Edward creepy. I don’t like it when the boys are stalker like, and just have to have you. It irkes me, and I hate when the girl gets herself into trouble. Females are not that dumb! But books like these makes me wonder if people really believe that. I don’t know, but this book was horrible. If I stop reading a book before page 100, that’s not a good sign.

Another thing…the writing was choppy, and it didn’t flow. I felt like I had no idea what was going on. It was like the book Fallen…I was confused at where we were. What city were we in, what was the landscape? The characters were explained okay, but once again I just couldn’t picture them at all. I couldn’t picture anything, it was like my mind was a blank slate, but yet nothing was happening to make a picture. It was just a jumble of words to me, along with bad dialogue. Why do people frolic to books like this? These things make me brain dead, and I can’t afford that. I’m already brain dead enough as it is…I can’t have my brain go into a standby and just forget working. It still makes me wonder how this generation is going to go. Are we really delving into reading something that is complete and utter trash? Has humanity lost it’s creativity? I just worry about this society sometimes when it comes to creativity. I am done ranting…I’m tired from reading this thing.

Read for nostalgia and it was already available on Libby LOL I loved this book as a teen and goodness reading it as an adult is a completely different vibe. Still enjoyable

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

I know this book has accumulated a lot of haters because it's often compared to Twilight (which has become a sort of archetype for YA paranormal romances), but I can honestly say that Hush, Hush is sooo much better.

When it comes to what he wants--aka Nora--Patch is straight forward and unafraid in openly pursing it. Nora is a strong heroine, who is smart and isn't afraid to confront Patch. They also had great chemistry and banter, and one of my favorite quotes that I think really exemplifies this is:

"It's called a shower." I was staring straight ahead. When he didn't answer, I turned sideways. "Soap. Shampoo. Hot water."

"Naked. I know the drill."

I absolutely love this entire series, the characters, the storyline and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Update 7/15/17:
This series is probably the series/books that I've reread the most. I'd also be comfortable admitting that these books are my go-to when I'm feeling slumpish or simply when I want to revisit some of my favorite characters in my favorite story. This is the highest form of praise I can give, and I do hope you read them if you haven't already!

My Patch, the sarcastic but protective fallen angel who has fallen yet again...

I did really enjoy this book, more then a lot of books that are very similar. I really did like the romance between Nora and Patch, it seemed genuine and sweet, although a bit unnerving at times, but I guess that is part of the stories. That leads me to my problem with this book Nora a very smart girl, continuously makes completely dumb decisions, such as walking down a dark alley in the middle of a bad neighborhood, or being completely OK with the fact the guy she just started dating knows things about her he shouldn't.. I take that back they weren't dating, he was her biology partner, even more creepy, but it never seems to bother her all that much. So, in spite of this, and the fact that mom was always gone conveniently, I still enjoy this book, and will definitely read the next in the series. Oh, I cannot forget to mention her BFF she was amazing, I like the fact that this girl was not a loner and had a really good friend! Although friend made poor choices as well, What is wrong with all these girls!!! Perhaps we should start teaching common sense in the school system, LOL ;-)

The first in the series, Hush Hush is a reread for me. It was exceptional the first time and now rereading it knowing the little Easter eggs that Fitzpatrick planted has been a thrill. There’s a lot to uncover here, from learning how to trust yourself and your own instinct to sacrificing everything for the people you love. I would say this is a great YA introduction to thriller, maybe even psych thriller. This is a fantastic series that I thoroughly look forward to getting to finish this time, since I didn’t have access to the 3rd and 4th books the last go around.
