Duel perspectives served the story very well, giving readers ample time to adjust to each main character. Lastly, the epilogue perfectly tied up all loose ends and gave my book club and me wanting more!!

It may have been ten years but Kat Roberts is finally going to get her revenge on the person she thinks is responsible for ruining her life. This was a fast, fun and easy read. The characters are complex and descriptive with their faults and strengths. The plot is intriguing! The more I read the more I was sucked in! It's a quick pace story with two timeliness but it moves smoothly between the past and the present. Definitely a book that will have you turning the pages long after your bedtime!

TW: rape, gambling addiction
Very much a feminist novel, which I wasn't expecting, but stories about con artists are typically a good time, and this one was no exception. I still prefer Julie Clark's debut, however. This one didn't have as many shocking twists since you go into the book knowing our main character is a con artist. The characters are okay, and it was a quick read. It just lost me when it hyperfocused on real estate jargon & a lot of money talk, but overall, I really enjoyed it.
