definitely out of my comfort zone but I heard it was an odd book so I thought I would give it a shot.. Spoiler alert, I didn't like it
this novel was weird hahahaha but I appreciated the commentary on class, race, and healthcare access. The novel’s concept was fascinating, but the ending felt so rushed and forced. It tumbled out so quickly and didn’t feel fitting for the main character. The first half of the book was so good. I was really hopeful!!!
What a strange book! I feel like this plot really covers the human experience - it brings you into Magnolia's world in the deep south where she suddenly finds herself living, experiencing, growing, learning, yet ultimately, struggling. The eccentric characters and scenarios may not be for everyone, but I appreciate how bold and different this book is. I was interested in getting through this read to discover all the twists and turns.
