This book was amazing.
There was such intricate and extensive world building. Moray managed to create a society with unique customs, appearance, languages, and ideas. It was so cool to see how the interacted, and how the humans weren’t the horrible bad guys who want to murder and take over right off the bat. It was nice to see a peaceful interaction between the two species.
My only negative comment is that the fight scene part was so confusing. Even after finishing the book, I am left with so many questions as to the end. It really made no sense to me.
Overall, this book had an amazing romance, talented description, and an intriguing storyline. I 100% recommend.

Dr. Cameron, a human xenolinguist, meets big sexy 7 foot purple alien, Tal’jen (who is just a lover boy at heart), on a newly discovered planet. Eyes lock, sparks fly, and basically the rest is history.
Tal is a green flag through and through. His possessive but pure loving. His unwavering devotion. His yearning and sweet affection. Tal’s internal monologue had me woozyyy. Loved every second of it.
It was also a delight to see how Cameron tackled encountering a new species, and just welcomed Tal’s affection. He held respect and almost reverence for his people, and it was refreshing.
Some loose ends towards the end of the book and unfinished business, so hoping for a sequel to expand upon that.
Overall, the MC and ML’s chemistry, plot, world building, and smut were all done really well.

Ridiculous through and through, but of the well-written and enjoyable kind.
This book captured me instantly and I read it in one sitting, I just fell into the world building and fascinating concept. Of course the cast are stunning too and I enjoyed them all from the mcs to the side characters, all of who bring something to the story.
While there is a lot of spice and instant chemistry between Cameron & Tal'jen from start to finish. Plenty of public displays especially. Still it's also got a lot of science, exploration of new planet and learning about the aliens.
Considering Cameron & Taljen don't understand each other for majority, somehow their relationship and romance worked really well. As get to see both povs and feelings, how they communicate and learn from each other throughout.
Even from the smallest of greetings and directions, they were just very sweet and it was interesting to see them teach one another about their people. Of course the technology does help them in the end, but I loved that it wasn't an instant fix and took time to work. As learning patterns of speech and has to be processed so that was great to see.
Also the mpreg aspect is handled rather well too, it wasn't just this instant change and actually had to develop. There was some sort of science to it, which made a change to see and rather fascinating idea.
Getting to see the aliens home was lovely, I adored the details of their village and the scenery. Their way of life is really interesting and I just adored seeing how the humans fit into their world, the realisations were fun.
I am hopeful that the series is continued sometime though, as there is a lot still left open at the end and I'd love to see whats next for everyone. Whether continues their story or others from the team would be amazing to see.
Overall an entertaining read with so much to love!

Loved the humor in this! Cameron was so funny and Tal’jen was sweet. The side characters were interesting too. The steamy bits were done so well. I definitely felt the tingles! Really enjoyed this one.
3.5 stars!
This was fascinating - alien planet, finding your fated mate, alien scenting, a ritual fucking in front of the town, scientific research? It took me a little bit to get into this, but once I did I inhaled it. I really liked that while the lead's couldn't communicate with vocal language for the majority of the story, they made up for it with hand/body movements and scenting. Also, very fun learning about alien gender presentation and body anatomy.

3.5 rounded down
Fun and interesting concept with omega verse meets sci-fi! I actually really enjoyed how this developed, and as usual, I'm pretty happy with the way this author handles tropes like mates/abo/etc. without making it feel too rushed and insta-love, which is something I'm particular about.

ETA: I read this through again for.....reasons lol, and I still love this book and I will still hope for another book set in this same world.
OMG! Well, this book just hit all of my kinks - sci-fi with just the perfect amount of world building and romance still being the focus, an alien/human relationship, size kink, mpreg, some self-lubing sexy times, heats, KNOTTING, mates, UGH! The list goes on and on.
This is the first story in (what I hope is) a sexy new series. This takes place in the future, and at first part of me did think of Avatar - sexy, tall, purple alien species. A beautiful, multi-colored world. A species who live in a huge tree. The science guys and the beefy miner guys who are digging for metal to take from the planet don’t get along. But anyway - Cameron is part of the scientific team sent to explore a new planet. While out one day getting samples, he meets Tal’Jen, a native to the planet that they are on who is investigating what the humans are doing on his planet.
Although they can’t understand each other, the attraction and chemistry is there from the start - and you don’t need words for that! UGH, these two - very sexy together! But I loved that there was such realism in how they were trying to communicate, starting with simple things and going on from there. I loved the picnic Cameron thought of, I loved Tal’jen woo-ing Cameron in his own way. I loved Mike being so shocked at Cameron and Tal’jen together, and then when they get the other guys involved they are very interested, and not just for the sake of science! :D And I loved Tal’jen taking Cameron and his coworkers to their home, and you get to see how his people live.
Turns out some of the human men are undergoing some changes due to being on this planet - it’s turning them into what we think of alphas and omegas, and for the men like Cameron, it’s causing them to grow the right equipment to have babies. I love how this was all explained and y’know, I was perfectly OK with how all the other guys were OK with it. They weren’t going to lock Cameron up and study him like a lab rat. But it’s also causing the “alphas” to become VERY alpha...
I LOVED this story! I’m really hoping that some of Cameron’s coworkers and friends get their own story. Tal’jen even mentioned other races that live on the planet - I am SUPER interested in what the sea-people are like! (Y’know, my never-ending love of mermen) and hope that we will get more stories set on this planet.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
