STORY: Interesting ABO MPREG story with a good sci-fi element, though there are quite a few unanswered questions for me at the end. However, not letting that bother me too much in this case since I was very content with the MC’s HEA. Not a ton of character depth but I feel like I know the characters well enough and their personalities were clear and consistent. Tal is the PERFECT BOOK BF - sweet, understanding, and alpha without being your typical alpha a-hole. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good aggressive alpha, but this was refreshing.

ROMANCE: While you get plenty of hot KNOTTY alien sex with a tantalizing purple lover, there is a sweetness and care here that added a genuine romance to the smut factor. The brief “courtship” is entertaining and the language barrier is a fun little obstacle as they get to know each other.

WRITING: There are a FEW ERRORS sprinkled throughout that make for some confusing sentences but nothing too intolerable.

WORLD BUILDING: Okay world building, fairly LIMITED to the immediate environment/planet. There’s some background on the genetic similarities between species and how they live. Essentially, it is enough for me to get the gist without weighing the story down.

OVERALL: SHORT AND SWEET but I wouldn’t have complained if we’d been given another 100 pages. This story is perfect for when you just want to skip all the fluff and get right to the heart.. or cock.. of things. Something about these characters just draws you in. It’s a SEXY FUN READ that I’ve enjoyed twice and will stay on my reread list!

(Sorry for the lengthy review, it’s my first one and I’m still figuring out how to best organize+communicate my thoughts!

Re-read: I enjoyed this very smutty read the second time around too. I really hope the series eventually gets it's other books.

I loooooved this one! Gawd, nothing feels better than finding a book to get you out of a book rut. The only thing that would have made this better is if it was a) longer and b) if she actually continued writing the series. It's been a while so I'm not sure if we're going to get more books in this world or not, but I really hope we do someday.

I don't read sci-fi romance often, but when I do, I prefer any alien life that is getting frisky with humans to also be humanoid. Monsters and non-humanoid aliens are one fad I just cannot get into. But thankfully Tal is definitely humanoid--just taller and with some...bonuses. This book is alpha-omega with mpreg which is another genre I don't venture down often in the mm world, but sometimes it's just really fun to suspend belief.

Tal is exactly what I want from an alien. He views Cameron as his mate basically from the beginning. We're suspending belief here, people. But he's just really sweet and gets Cameron's engine revving basically anytime they're together which is funny.

Cameron is very witty, and I loved being in his head. He's inquisitive and that's exactly the kind of character I want visiting an alien world. I want to see the wonders of the new world through their eyes, and he doesn't disappoint.

There is some major insta-lust, and we all just have to go along with the fact that they get frisky upon first face to face meeting. There's a little knotting, slick and mpreg. There's also a language barrier for much of the book. There's a lot of sweetness and banter and just. Sigh. It was exactly what I needed.

Lots of potential. Since the humans and aliens can't really communicate for most of the book, I liked that we got a dual POV from our MCs. World building isn't bad and the cast of secondary characters was enough to peak my interest. I would read more of this series but it doesn't look like there will be another book any time soon or ever. Shame, as I said a lot of potential here.

Amazing story, great world building and exploring of a different culture. Definitely more in depth than the simple alien mating stories, but still a bit on the simple side compared to Lyn Gala.

4,5★ This book was so sweet and funny and sexy. Cameron was funny as hell and Tal'Jen was the cutest and sweetest character ever!
The only bad thing about it is that there aren't other books in this series. There are so many unanswered questions. I just want to learn more things about some characters.
