First re-read. Love this book and as I’m listening I’m taking in just how good a job the movie did of capturing the book. There were obviously a few differences but they got a LOT of details right and only missed a few significant things. What really kills me is how little of a personality Katniss has. Of course I think some of that can be attributed to her need for survival her whole life. But her character is def a large flaw of this book.

Great to read again after 10 years and a lot more critical thinking under my belt. Found myself cringing at the writing a bit but I had to remind myself this was part of the blueprint for so much YA now so that's to be expected. Addicting to read, still fun even knowing what happens.
