I love Mazey Eddings’ writing so I was super excited to get this ARC from Netgalley (thanks Mazey and the publisher!!). This YA story follows Tilly as she treks across Europe with her sister as an assistant for her sister’s nail polish company. On the chaotic flight over, she is seatmates with Oliver and their first meeting goes… not so great. Thinking she’ll never see him again, Tilly runs off the plane as soon as she can, only to find out Oliver is the intern that’s going to be traveling around with them.
This book has great neurodivergent representation- Tilly has ADHD and Oliver is autistic. Having those shared experiences really bonds the two together as they relate to how they feel in the world sometimes. This book was super cute and had me giggling the whole way through. The side characters are great- I love how Tilly and her sister’s bond grows throughout the novel, and Oliver’s relationship with his family is precious. This book was so enjoyable, and I highly recommend it.

Tilly Twomley’s brain doesn’t work like everyone else’s - it runs on overdrive - fast, chaotic, messy - and her ADHD never seemed to be a problem until her mother began micromanaging her life, treating her like a child.
But Tilly just graduated high school and she’s looking forward to finding her path into adulthood, not be babied by mom.
It begins with a summer in Europe. While she’s there as an intern for her sister, Mona’s, start up, she also wants a chance to explore.
Oliver Clark, Mona’s other intern, problvides a challenge. Singularly focused on color and photography, Tilly and Ollie constantly clash.
Ollie, who also has a neurodiverse brain (autism), too, dealing with his differences in a way Tilly doesn’t always understand.
As the two spar brilliantly, they also open themselves up, slowly, with concern, as most have been unkind to them. But by learning to communicate effectively with one another, they slowly develop feelings they weren’t expecting, and might just fall in love.

Oh how I adored this book.
Eddings, who is open about her only neurodiverse brain, does a spectacular job showing how people who think differently grow and change and fall in love because they are just like anyone else - not broken but different.
Tilly was absolutely delightful. I loved her inner thoughts, her struggles with her mother, and her hope and desire to be loved by Oliver.
For his part, I found Ollie’s fascination with color and photography to be a terrific device for moving the story forward. He was sweet and unsure but also driven and confident. Watching him grow is wonderful.
Ollie’s sister and his group of friends were a fantastic support system for him, and eventually for Tilly, too.
You will find it impossible not to root for these young adults.

If you’re coming down off your Well, Actually high and are looking to dive into Eddings back catalog, this is a great place to start. Validating, sweet, and informative, you’ll find no complaints from me.

Between Tilly’s effervescent personality and Oliver’s lovely British accent, I could not have loved listening more. Justis Bolding and Chris Nelson were perfect as teenagers falling in love.

Tilly In Technicolor - Mazey Eddings
4.5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4.5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
gosh, a LOT of this book resonated for me. like, a LOT. SO much.
I really enjoyed Mazey’s foray into YA! (Wow—unintentional rhyme!)
As a newly diagnosed neurodivergent, I found myself relating two both Tilly and Oliver! So swoony!
This coming-of-age adventure and discovery is one I highly recommend to everyone. (The amount of time Tilly worries about having to pee is the most relatable quirk in all characterdom!)
I definitely hope to see more neurodivergent leads in more romances!
