I read this on vacation and it was not supposed to be very demanding, but it was actually hard to keep reading. I think this series just isn't my thing.

I think it is time for Maisie to do something new. Looking forward to what Winspear comes up with for the next book.

Not the best mystery of any Maisie Dobbs novel, but the best so far for Maisie's character development

Maisie Dobbs #10

Wow! Good for Maisie!
SpoilerLeaving work and going traveling to new, exotic places sounds absolutely lovely!

Can't wait to start the next in the series!

In my opinion, this is one of Jacqueline Winspear's best. The characters all change and grow, the mystery is obtuse and touching, and the conclusion involves a very satisfying tying up of loose ends.

I am certain that I read this one and not sure how I managed to forget to put it in Goodreads.

Maisie investigates the murders of two Indian women which may have a linked xenophobic motive. Less mystery plot in this series entry as novel focuses on Maisie's internal struggle to fulfill her desire to follow the path of her late mentor in traveling and immersing herself in cultures. Our story concludes with this series at a major crossroads for our protagonist.
