Loved to read about Queen Coriane's story. I wished it was a bit more detailed, tho. It started well but ended in a rush.

heartbreaking and devastating, but I loved it nonetheless.

I found the book to be a nice, quick little read that was able to hold my attention for the short time it required.

The story of Coriane and Tibe was sweet if not a bit generic. The writing style was well done, as Aveyard's always is. I enjoyed the characters Anabel and Robert and found Robert's relationship with the king to be tasteful and refreshing.

Where Aveyard fell flat was with character growth and development. Coriane was weak in the beginning, stayed weak as the story progressed, had a brief moment of strength, but overall went back to being that same weak little girl she was in the beginning. The only evidence of growth in her character was her increasing paranoia and ever growing insanity. She didn't have much of a personality either besides being from a less important house and having a thing for mechanics. The other characters—Anabel, Tibe, Julian, Sara—weren't much better. They were little more than shadows of characters, and their vague plot lines weren't very well developed.

Despite all this, the overall story was compelling. I loved the quote "There is nothing so terrible as a story untold" and appreciated the way it tied in with the destruction of Coriane's diary. A beautifully tragic story, Queen Song is flawed, but worth the read if you enjoyed Red Queen.

Not a bad novella, really, and it explained more about Coriane which was really cool. I liked it and the confirmation it gave (or didn't give!) to the rumors concerning Elara and her. Interesting read. I would recommend it. 4.5 out of 5 stars, for sure.

Ich bin manchmal leider nicht ganz so hinterhergekommen und es war für mich nicht alles nachvollziehbar, vor allem der Schluss... Dennoch interessant um etwas über Cals Mutter zu erfahren

3.5 STARS:

Well... I thought it would be fascinating to know a little more about Queen Corianne but this wasn't anything I expected to receive.

I mean, I liked Corianne's character, she's a lot like me and thinks a lot like me, but the story deserved so much more than this tone given in the novella.

I think Prince Tiberias is quite different from the king we meet in Red Queen, he doesn't act the same in both, he's a kind and nice person.

I didn't liked Jessamine's character; annoying and with so many desperate attitudes.

Elara... Still terrifying, even in a young age.

The ending... EVERYTHING HAPPENED SO QUICK! I got sad even though people who've read Red Queen knew that was supposed to happen.

Elara is a bitch
