loved loved loved the nostalgia, second-chance, and friends-to-lovers tropes in this book! the longing between sam and percy’s throughout the years was so well-written and executed. AND this is carley fortune’s DEBUT NOVEL ?!? loved every second of it

I read One Golden Summer before reading this one and while it was fun to visit Barry’s Bay again, these main characters annoyed me a bit.
The story is set up so you’re jumping back and forth between when Sam & Percy met and when they fell apart to present day. I don’t super love the rekindled relationship trope, this reminded me of Happy Place by Emily Henry which is my least liked book by her.
Most of the book is Percy’s inner dialog and I was kinda bored but just kept listening. It was a lighthearted easy read but dragged on for me.

The chapters are so long so you can’t skip them, but it always happens toward the end. Chapters 11,12,14,15,16

My first but definitely not last Carly Fortune book! I really loved the way the then and now were interwoven together with Percy's memories. Easy read and highly recommend!
