I really enjoyed the book but I struggled with suspending disbelief for some of the awful things being said to the children.
When a book is turned into a movie, I seem to always prefer the movie over the book. This story is no exception. I don't know what it is but I just preferred the movie version of this story. Maybe I'm more of a visual person.
I did like this story, though. I also recommend it to kids of all ages. Have fun reading!
