Roald Dahl's subtle imagination and choice of words are splendid and all his books are like that. Matilda is fantastic, mixing a blend of unbelievable imagination and cute characters to make a children's literacy classic. Fantastic.

This was a great read. I loved the movie. It is one of my all-time favourites, and I cannot believe that I have not read the book until now. I really enjoyed the book. I have to say that I enjoyed the movie a bit more than the book. Matilda was an amazing character. I really loved how her mind created these punishments for her father. Also, I really enjoyed Miss Honey's character. She really understood who Matilda was and she understood what Matilda went through by her parents and Miss Trunchbull. I really did not like Matilda's parents and Miss Trunchbull. I really enjoyed the ending. I can't wait to read more Roald Dahl books. Overall, an enjoyable read.
