2.5 but 3 stars if you go brain empty. I had this saved for a long time, and I'm still glad I read it, though at first I was lead to think it was super angsty. But this was cute, the banter was fun (esp with Jack being a grump but not an asshole), and Rose was very adorable and funny. Reading this was a good time overall, though I wasn't into a few things. Also the opening line and chapter were a really strong way to start the book.

It was an easy chill read, I really enjoyed it. Basically he convinced her to marry him so she can get the building to start her coffee shop (her uncle was a d*** and made it so it would got to her husband if she was married because he ex fiancé was also a d*** and manipulated stuff his way) anyway it was all pretty obvious she was getting more out of the deal than him cause his reasoning was “to have someone to go to events with and to be a family man” but everyone knew him as the grumpy and doesn’t care about anything so it wasn’t even an issue lol. But I’ll always eat it up🤭😂 he was grumpy and all so cute trying to get her to fall for him. And when she got sick 🥹he took such good care of her!
Him being jealous of their driver bringing balloons to the hospital 🤣🔥and his obsession with her wearing her ring 💋When he first smiled that her😭 I wish the author continued the count thing for a few more chapters after she started smiling at her then stop…causehe was smiling so much she lost count, that would have been cute 😂but anyway a good chill read.

The beginning of this book was incredibly hard to get into, it wasn’t until maybe halfway through that it started to pick up and get better. Then of course in the last 2 chapters I feel like everything comes out and all the exciting stuff happens. I dunno it was okay, just a typical romance novel, also lots of parent issues. Mommy/daddy issues not my fav.
