Short Review: Boring with the most ridiculous logic known for men (reason for "their marriage")
Long Review:
If you're looking for a cozy contemporary romance, this book might just put you to sleep. Honestly, the chemistry between the two main characters is staler than dry bread. Their dynamic consists of one person talking while the other broods, and once you discover the logic behind their marriage, you’ll be left screaming, “WHY WERE YOU BROODING? Why didn’t you make the best of this marriage and invest in making her like you?” I genuinely cannot wrap my head around the thought process of this book.
The plot itself is duller than dishwater. Conflicts are introduced—like the cousins and the fiancée—only to be dropped like hot potatoes later on. The author builds up this big secret that the main lead has, only to reveal the STUPIDEST secret on the planet. Honestly, I don't think these characters are fully functioning humans. They have the common sense of a brick wall, and one of them is supposed to be a LAWYER! How is he the dumber of the two?

As for the characters, they’re given a fake sense of depth. We get to know the FMC fairly well, but with the MMC, all I know is that he’s the dumbest character I’ve ever read about who somehow manages to be a decent lawyer. It’s a mystery for the ages!
On the upside, the writing itself is good and flows nicely. So if you can slog through the rest, at least you won’t be tripping over the prose.

The book was awesome, I loved everything about the book, the characters and the plot were very well written. I enjoyed how they gradually got to know each other and made changes in their lives to accommodate each other and their needs. I especially love the way he look after her when she was sick.

Read this one for the smut and it did not disappoint. However, the writing besides that was lacking. There was less of a storyline and more just a sequence of events, this happened and then this happened next. Putting Jack's stalker tendencies aside, watching their relationship unfold and them grow closer was a successful slow-burn.

3.75 ⭐️ i don’t rly know how to feel. solid communication for the third act breakup which is fantastic. but way too long like no one asked for a 500 page romance book especially when they’ve said that they love each other at like page 300. but it was sweet and i really liked the whole coffee shop and the charity event was ❤️❤️❤️❤️ epilogue was dumb like blah blah blah don’t care. i am so not a fan of long speeches that r unnecessary
