This book was so refreshing to read! I was starting to get a little lazy on my netgalley reviews, reading books i wasn't fully into, It was like eating leftovers for the last 4 days then all of a sudden you make a damn good home cooked meal and you remember what REAL food taste like! I LOVED THIS BOOK!! As soon as i picked it up i could not put it down, from the first paragraph I was captivated i HAD to know what was going on and who was doing what to whom !! Everywhere i had to go in a car i made someone else drive, so i could read my kindle, so i didn't have to put stop reading, and just when i thought i had it figured out I got smacked in the face with a HUGE twist!! I'm usually pretty good at predicting the ending of a book but I didn't even figure out who was in the hospital before it was revealed, huge surprise there, then after you read that and think you know what's going on, BAM another huge "what the hell is happening" moment is upon you! I haven't read something this perfectly unpredictable in a long while! After reading a few other reviews of this book I am seeing there is another book i need to be on the lookout for, I will be reading "Safe with Me" soon and am excited K.L Slater is writing her third one! I will definitely be a fan of hers for a while after that thrilling read! Too many books are labeled "fast paced thrilling read" in my opinion that don't deserve to be in the category but this one is by far at the top of the list! I seriously could not read this book fast enough and I need more books life this in my life! Do yourself a favor and read this book!!!

I feel like all of this Authors books have the same main character, with a kid and no father, and I just can't do it anymore.

I really liked the coma patient pov and liked the title of the book based on it. It had too many unlikeable characters and I found a lot of them annoying and too falsely nasty. Lots of suspicious people and events and I was left guessing what happened until the end. The end was a bit of a let down though and felt a bit rushed

What the hell was this

Edit: dec 24.

I just keep thinking about this bloody book and I’m actually getting fired up. Why is it even called Blink?? I don’t understand; ok, it misleads readers into thinking the little girl got literally kidnapped “in the blink of an eye”, but even if it was done with this purpose in mind, WHY THE FUCK TITLE THE BOOK AFTER AN EVENT THAT SEEMS SO GODDAMN MINUSCULE AFTER EVERYTHING THAT THE AUTHOR DECIDED TO PUT IN THIS.

And don't even get me started on that, this is not even a story, these are just little planets that just so happened to be in the same orbit, apparently, for absolutely no reason other than just be there. There were so many bizarre things, weird “explanations” that deserved their very own explanations and the main event (the girl missing) doesn’t even end up being the main event in the book!

I’m directly quoting the book so precaution for spoilers is advised!

He’d tripped on an uneven paving stone and stumbled under the wheels of a red London bus on Oxford Street when Harriet was just five years old. There is absolutely no way this is actually for real, do you really mean to tell me that this woman’s father DIED because he tripped and just so happened to lay on the ground exactly as a bus was passing by. Are you actually serious? This is an absolute insult to the readers credulity.

INCONSISTENCIES GALORE. One of the characters says at least 2 times things that her sister did/has but then directly says she doesn’t have a sister so which is it? Does she or does she not? Editor where are you?? Does Slater even have an editor?

Everything about this book is so surreal and dumb and in absolutely no way at least 80% of the things that happened would actually happen or work in the real world, I’m actually about to cry in frustration.
