I really love Kinsey Millhone. I just wish I had loved this particular book more. I just had a hard time caring about the central mystery in this one. It was not the most exciting and I felt like Kinsey was sidelined for a good part of it. Once she finally got to do her own thing, the story started to pick up. But I still didn't care. I still love her character and I am determined to eventually finish this series.
I thought this was a really poor mystery. I remember her earlier books being way more interesting, even though I read them when I was about 10 years old. I'm sure i'll read R, S, and T because my dad has them on our B&N account already.
Very little happened and there wasn't much of a story. Hopefully all 4 won't be this boring.

This book was interesting because it is based on a true story that Sue Grafton was brough with. She was given a clue at one of her talks by someone in the audience who recognized the material. Sadly, the real case was never solved, even though Kinsey's was.

This was a good "cold case" mystery. The fact that the author based this on a true case made it more interesting. The afterword describes how she got the idea and and how it lead to reopening the case.

I really enjoyed this as I have with most of the Kinsey Milhone books but this one was the longest yet. A lot of detailed descriptions which can be great but it sometimes took away from the story. Saying that the story was worth this. Would recommend
