I'm still not sure what I think about the ending - normally I like this type of thing but it felt a bit hurried and sprung. But there were some awesome laughs and revelations in the middle parts so definitely a nice read. I really appreciate finding books that recognize the diversity of women and are ambitions and don't just rush everyone towards married w/children.
The concept and characters had promise but the book never went anywhere. Plus, the main character still was sitting around moping and waiting for life to happen. Boring and I gave up on it.
This is a total delight. I almost put it down after the first chapter, but once we focused in on M.J. and her POV, it clicked. I'm so glad I kept reading! So fun!

I can’t imagine a real life human being actually getting something out of this book but I’m sure it’s possible!

I felt okay about this book, it wasn't a love but it wasn't a hate.
I think there were a lot of good parts to this and made you question things but some of the storylines and side stories dragged on such as explaining why MJ was named May-June. I feel like there would have been a better connection if we flipped between Gloria's era and MJ's era.
