This was just the palate cleanser I needed. It was scandalous, aggravating and so dramatic but I ate it up! Loved the multiple POV, short chapters and a little bit of dual timelines. Will definitely read more by this author.

We've seen similar-ish plots done recently but IMO this is one of the best of its kind. That might be because the writing felt so polished, but it's also just because it's JUICY and well-paced. The author cuts to the chase and doesn't feel the need to add in repetitive filler scenes for the sake of SuSpEnSe. If you don't enjoy hateable characters it won't be for you, but I am a glutton for drama.

I enjoyed this book and would definitely read this author again! I will say I didn't really like the epilogue, especially, the last sentence.

This struggled to maintain a 3 star rating.

Felt like I was listening to a telenova. I wouldn't say I hated it or anything like that. But any notion that I found this book was shocking and mysterious would be a wild misrepresentation.
