Oh my Phoenix! I loved this story. It had so much angst, heartache but a truly amazing love story. It’s a longer book but it ended and I still wanted more. Phoenix and Lennon - chefs kiss.

Before I read this book, I read some reviews, I’ve seen posts in book groups about the tremendous book-hangover and … they were all right! I certainly hope there is a follow up and it becomes a complete series.

Ashley Jade - you wrote an amazing story! Thank you!

I was beginning to think it was one of my favourite Audible listens until the love story just never seemed to get there - over and over and over again you would think that they had, at last, got together only for Lennon to reject Phoenix again! Also, talk about steamy ... a little warning to ensure the story doesn't come on in the car - if you're listening to the Audible version - when your mother-in-law, child or co-worker is with you. They were like rabbits! It was a fabulously narrated book and it's the first time I've ever checked out who the narrators were. I looked forward to driving to work to listen to this book. :-)

GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY THIS BOOK IS ADDICTING. From page one I was absolutely addicted & had the hardest time putting this book down. I absolutely adored Lennons character and I related to her in so many ways in regards to her body image issues & insecurities about her size/weight. The bullying I bc the first few chapters of this story is gut wrenching & I’m not sure I could have survived it, But Lennon is a bad bitch & her character growth was eveything. Phoenix on the other hand? I was a pheonix HATER for more than half the book. He rubbed me the wrong way so many times with his choice of words & stupidity. I knew he would of had to of had one HELL of a redemption story to get back into my good graces & WOW did he ever. I was swooning by the end of this story. This book is everything I tend to reach for with its Friends turned enemies turned lovers trope, GOOD SPICE, comical moments, head spinning (and some heartbreaking) plot twists.. but a big gripe I had is that the ending felt a bit rushed and I thought we were left with a handful of unawared questions so here’s to hoping there’s a second book coming our way & soon to help clear some things up. All in all I was most than pleasantly surprised with this read!

Wow. I mean….wow. This book was absolutely delicious, dirty, sweet, and heartbreaking. First of all, what I loved most about this book was the plus size female main character representation. I swear that every FMC in any romance book I’ve ever read is the same, perfect, can-get-any-man-they-want athletic built character and it was so heart warming to get a realistic body type in this book. I loved the representation of highschool bullying and what it does to people. The spice was hot with just the right amount of dirty. I loved all of these characters so much (however, I absolutely abhorred Phoenix up until at least 50%, that arrogant fucker, but from then on my heart grew 10 sizes for him) but Lennon especially. I relate to her so much, her incessant need to put everyone else before her. The only reason I gave this 4.5/5 was because I felt the ending was *a tad* rushed and that some of Lennon’s inner monologues were repetitive. But aside from that, this book gave me all the warm & fuzzies, and I cried and laugh on multiple occasions. This one was so worth it & it’s sticking with me
