I am giving this book 5 stars for all the vibes. This was exactly what I needed and literally finished it in a day, as thick as this book is. I have never read a book this size as a romance, but I loved it! This book had all the feels.
Cute guy in high school is dealt a crappy home life and he is ready to leave home to get away from it. Only problem, he won't graduate if he doesn't bring up his English grade. Enter smart girl from the other side of the tracks. Their English teacher asks FMC to tutor him to help him out, saying it would do him more harm than good if he doesn't graduate. FMC knows this guy and is willing to help him. In doing so, she learns he has a learning disability and does what she can to help him and get him to graduate. In the time they spend together, they end up developing a relationship just passed "we are just friends". But an opportunity presents itself that MMC has to make a choice, and it isn't a good one. He breaks her heart.

Years later, he is a star and on the road doing what he loves. Music, but at the cost of betraying the one person who helped him. As luck would have it, he gets messed up with the wrong things and ends up in a situation where he needs "a babysitter" to keep him out of trouble. Who better than the ONE person he thought he would never see again. She is out for revenge....but will she get it?

Why did this take me so long to pick up, I think it’s been sat on my shelf for like a year now and the size has just always put me off but I wished I had picked it up sooner. I flew through it all in like 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. I loved Lennon and everything about her, I loved she took no shit but I hated how much it all hurt her. Ngl I really didn’t like Phoenix to start with and what he did angered me so much. But reading in and seeing his growth and regret I fell in love with him. Loved the spicer and his jealousy side, I loved Lennons friendship with Storm, like I loved storm so much. I loved the relationship the band mates all had with each other. My heart broke for Lennon at the end but Phoenix melted me with how he stuck by her. I loved this book so much and I’m super excited to read Memphis and Skylars book.

This story captured me from the prologue, and I struggled to put it down. I literally stayed up all night and immediately picked it back up when I awoke. I wasn't expecting this book to capture me the way it did. Lennon and Phoenix's story is worth every bit of the hype it got. Lennon was a well written character and the perception of the way she was written was very on point with real world situations. I also love that she was written as thicker girl cause her character slayed! Phoenix was just gush worthy even with his brooding. I love how these two had a story that went further than most stories.
This story was written so well, and I will most definitely be reading this again as many times as possible.

Starts out really well! Unfortunately, the FMC just gets whinier and more melodramatic the deeper in you get. About halfway through the narrative also begins to just draaaaag. Spice is nice but occasionally problematic, ethically speaking. Didn't really love the set up for other characters’ stories much. And then it just freaking ENDS. Big bummer.

Plot was falling flat and putting me into a major reading slump so I have come away for now. It had such a strong start, but I am so bored! It is so long and according to my kindle I still have nearly 4 hours left and I’m not exactly a slow reader.

Great book! I read a while back but wanted to read again but with the audio, and it did not disappoint! Teddy Hamilton as Phoenix is perfection! Its a dual style narration.
