As an adult, I've often thought that Fairy Tales are super dark, why on earth do we read them to children? This is an adult Fairy Tale.
Heed the content warnings.
Like in other Scarlett St. Clair books we get this push/pull of the heroine fighting her feelings for the hero because he is “bad.” But what does bad mean anyway? I think someone who pushes another into a well is probably bad. As with other Scarlett St. Clair books we get a strong heroine looking for freedom and she comes into her power. Excellent story!

Disappointingly unoriginal. It's a Beauty and the Beast retelling in a fairytale setting, which has been done hundreds of times before. Nothing about this book stands out.
You've got a 'sassy' female MC, who just reads as stupid with no self-preservation instincts. A generic, bad-boy Elven prince with zero personality. Instalove, lust-driven romance: the premise of the book is that they have to fall in love in 7 days, so instalove was always on the cards.
