A very dark romance, domestic abuse, and not a healthy romance. Rumple stilskin retelling.

I just finished Mountains Made of Glass, and it definitely gave me a Beauty and the Beast vibe—but with its own unique spin. The “Beast” wasn’t what I expected, and “Beauty” herself was written in such a different way that it kept me curious about where the story would go.
This was my first time listening to one of her books, and overall, I’d give it a solid four stars. The audiobook narration was really well done, which helped pull me into the world. That said, I think I might be a little biased because I’ve listened to other fairy-tale retellings before, and part of me was craving just a little bit more.
Still, I really enjoyed the way she reimagined the story and added her own voice to it. The writing felt strong, and it gave me a fresh take on a classic tale.

I waited a couple of days after finishing this book to see how I felt about it. It was lots of fun and a quick easy read. I really liked the characters and the hat-tip to the many different fairytales that inspired it.
I couldn't mark it at a 5 star because something was missing for me. I realized that I agree with others on here who have said that the romance fell a bit flat because there was no way to develop it properly in such a short time (7 days in the story - only 220 pages in the book).
If the book had another 80 pages or so where the "falling in love" part was slightly more prominent than the sex scenes it would have been perfect.
